Your Renovation Questions Answered
How can I get a free quote?
Getting free price estimate is really easy, you can contact us anytime and we will be back with an answer usually the same day. We will arrange a meeting to take a look at your project, discuss all necesarry details and take measurements for our quote work. Within couple of days you will receive detailed price estimate.
What is the process of the renovation and what should I expect?
Once you will receive your price estimate we will lock down the dates for renovation. The starting day of the reno we will start with protection of your place, cover the flooring, carpets and protect the areas from the dust. Then we will carefully execute the demoliton and start working on the rough in phase, which usually contains framing, electrical and plumbing work. Then we can finally start working on the tiling/finishing and painting. In the end of the project we do always walk through with our clients to ensure high satisfaction.
Who will purchase the materials?
Sometimes our clients like to choose and buy certain things like bathroom fixtures, mirrors, home decor items and more. Sometimes we supply everything after choosing together the right items for your project and we usually supply the necessary building materials such as lumber, membranes, thin set mortar, baseboards and trim, paint, tiles etc.
Do I need to find my plumber and/or electrician?
No, you don’t need to find your own plumber and electrician, we work closely with best trades in Whistler on daily basis so we can easily take care of it all. Of course unless you have your favorite technician, then we are more then happy to work with them based on your recommendation.
Do I need to pay deposit before the job starts? How do I pay for the work and when?
We don’t require any upfront payment before we start your dream renovation project. We usually require to get half of the cost aproximately mid-project and rest when everthing is finished. Sometimes we draft payment schedule for bigger projects to cover material and labour cost more frequently. We accept e-transfers for smaller payments or cheques which can be drafted at your local bank easily if you don’t have your cheque book.
Who will secure a permit from Municipality?
We are here to help with permit applications. Whether it is a stand-alone plumbing permit or full building permit, we can do the paperwork on your behalf, saving you tons of time. Unless you want to do the permit yourself, then we can guide you and help where needed, especially if you want to include architect or desginer for your renovation project.
How long will last my renovation?
This is a little bit harder to answer because every project is different and require specific steps. But for regular 5’x8’ bathroom renovation we can usually wrap things up under 4 weeks from starting day to finishing touches. Smaller kitchens can take around 2 weeks. Painting, framing etc. are all too specific to ball park. Let’s get in touch and discuss your specific project so we can provide more details.
